Fake PSG player jailed for two months

The string was a little big for the hotel management. As our colleagues from Ouest-France reveal, a young man presented himself on December 14 as playing in the Paris Saint-Germain U19 team at the reception of a hotel in Lisieux. A plausible justification at first glance since the Parisian workforce was present in the city of Calvados on the occasion of the Gambardella Cup.

This national competition is intended to crown the best team, formed by players under the age of 19, among all the French clubs. On December 12, 2021, CA Lisieux Football Pays d’Auge therefore faced Paris Saint-Germain on its lawn. A meeting that ended in defeat for the Normans, 5 goals to 1.

It was when paying the bill that the man allegedly asked that the bill be forwarded to his “agent”. All while providing a phone number on which to reach this employee. Coordinates invented from scratch since the number will never answer. A few days later, the hotel lodged a complaint for “grivèlerie” with the local gendarmerie. The man will finally be well identified and prosecuted by the prosecution of Lisieux.

Absent during his trial on April 28, the man was tried in absentia. The famous “agent”, he did not make himself known to the judge. On the other hand, the 28-year-old defendant was represented by a court-appointed lawyer, specifies the daily Ouest-France . The Lisieux Criminal Court sentenced him to two months in prison.

Less than six months, this criminal sanction should logically be arranged in another form, such as wearing an electronic bracelet. According to Ouest-France , the man was already known to justice. Indeed, his criminal record contained a dozen convictions before this new legal action.

On the sporting side, if the Parisians won in December against Lisieux, they were taken out of the competition in the round of 16 by the team from Le Havre, another Norman club.
