Central Missouri senior wide receiver Ronrei Lloyd and junior kick returner LaVance Taylor were named to the Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-Super Region Three Team as announced on Friday. Lloyd earned second team honors, while Taylor was named to the third team.
Lloyd was a second team All-MIAA receiver after leading the Mules in ranking fourth in the MIAA in receptions with 69 and second in the league with 1,222 receiving yards. His 11 touchdowns were the third most in the conference. His 69 catches were fifth most in a single-season in UCM history, while his 1,222 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns were second and tied for fourth most in a season, respectively. He finished his career second all-time at UCM with 2,192 receiving yards, fourth all-time with 19 receiving touchdowns and tied for fifth with 131 career receptions.
Taylor earned his second straight all-conference honor this season garnering third team accolades as both a running back and returner. He averaged 35.2 yards per kickoff return, best in the MIAA and third best in all of NCAA Division II. He also had two kick returns for touchdowns.
The Mules finished the 2013 season at 6-4 overall and 5-4 in MIAA play. It was the seventh straight winning season for UCM and the 15th in the last 16 years.
